San Antonio, Texas is a great place to live, work, and visit. It currently ranks as the seventh most populated city in the United States and it is also one of the fastest growing cities in the country. With these facts in mind, it means there is no shortage of history, fun, and things to do in San Antonio.

On June 13, 1691, a group of Spanish Catholic explorers came upon the San Antonio River Valley and named it in honor of St. Anthony of Padua, whose feast day is June 13. However, it took years before a Spanish settlement was established. Fast forward 300 years and now San Antonio is booming and beautiful.

One of San Antonio’s most famous attractions is the Alamo, which is remembered for the against-the-odds standoff where 200 Texans held the Alamo for 13 days against more than 1,000 Mexican troops.

For more modern attractions, San Antonio has a thriving night scene with numerous music clubs and dance halls. Main Plaza offers live music year round. Or you can head to Bohanan’s Prime Steaks & Seafood to hear the famous Jim Cullum Jazz Band.

If you love the art scene, San Antonio has something for everyone - from large museums to small galleries. Art exhibits are diverse with collections of art from every part of the world. And, just by walking through the city, you can see the rich culture with a wide spectrum of architectural styles.

San Antonio has something to offer everyone, no matter what you love to do. This is why we here at Jennings Anderson Ford love being part of the San Antonio community.Stop in today to learn more about
